Tracking Dinosaurs at the Library

Seventy people attended the Dino-Mite Party at the Fort Loudon Library on Tuesday, August 13 ending the 2013 Summer Library Program, Dig Into Reading!

Jeri Jones of Jones Geological Services, gave a "Tracking Dinosaur" program. Following the program the library provided a picnic with a dinosaur raffle and candy scramble.

Anna Rotz gave a talk on the Underground Railroad on July 23 at the Fort Loudon Library.

On July 22, 2013, James Reddington, Master Gardener, gave a flower arranging presentation to the adults and teens at the Fort Loudon Library.

Fort Loudon Rocks!

Warren Peckman brought his amazing rock collection to the library on July 2 for our "Fort Loudon Rocks" program. Many children brought their own rock collections for Mr. Peckman to see! All the children received an Indian stone to take home!



Dig It!

Jim Jarrett brought his bulldozer to the library on June 25 for our "Dig It!" program. Children all got to sit inside the cab! Everyone decorated their construction hat! And thanks to Mr. Jarrett all the children received t-shirts!

Laurie Gamble, former member of the Mont Alto Pottery Guild, gave a pottery program at the Fort Loudon Library on Tuesday, June 18, 2013.  Children got to make pinch pots and other things!

Tuesday, May 21, Floyd "Super Reader Stokes" and friend and fellow author Mike Sgrignoli entertained the children with stories, poems and songs. Refreshments and activities were held outside.
